Bob Giddens, Daniela Ackmann and Andreas Frechen are USED GmbH. Together with Klaus Schroeder they have combined resources to create a new company dedicated to innovative mobility solutions. USED will not just be about bicycles and there will be a lot of other products wearing the USED logo in other sales channels.

Bob Giddens, talking about the USED concept, said "we have so many products on the market today, so many useless products sitting in garages, in cupboard drawers or basements. We all bought these products thinking they were cheap and thinking they would be useful - someday! Well, just check your basement and tell me how many of these products you use a lot? Now you are just one step away from the USED concept."

"The only good product is a product being USED. Everything else is wasting resources, time and of course money. A 300$ bike is not expensive if you use it, but if you don't like it after riding the first couple of times and you leave it in the garage, it becomes a very expensive product and it still has no value at all. I want to sell products that people will use, if you don't need it, don't buy it. This is the message."

"The ScooterBike is an expensive product and I don't want anybody coming to me complaining about the price. I want them to come to me and say "Sure I paid a lot, but I ride it everyday and my health is getting better all the time and anyway my car was much more expensive, but since I have a ScooterBike I ride it more than I drive my car.....!""

Wishful thinking indeed, but you have to set your standards. And USED is going to do exactly that, we won't sell products that you don't need.

USED GmbH takes over all Sales, Marketing and Production activities concerning ScooterBikes. Klaus Schroeder (from Velvet Systems, the original developer of the ScooterBike) will take care of all r&d questions concerning ScooterBikes, ScooterTrikes and a few other surprises we have in store.

We are also starting the custom ScooterBike idea. We have standard models with add-on features so that you can configure your bike just like you configure your car. And we don't have an upcharge for air-conditioning!!!!

Coming in early 2004 is the new ScooterTrike, it's perfect for people with balance problems and is still good-looking, stylish and another part of the USED vision - MOBILITY for everyone.
